Sian and I were next door neighbours for 20 years. My memories of her are of a vibrant, forthright and loyal friend. Our lives merged at many levels, not least in complete devotion to the Evans’ border terriers.
As our children gradually left us free to travel more, we often shared walking expeditions with Sian and Tyrrell, who were always the easiest of companions. Below are photos of Sian on one our many walks circumnavigating London and another taken at the end of a walk from London to Canterbury. The third is of a coastal walk on holiday in Wales. 
The final photo is of Sian on the Santiago de Compostela pilgrim route in Spain. We walked 176 kilometres in nine days and never ran out of conversation.
