Siân loved Pilates, Siân loved her friends at Pilates, Siân loved doing the exercises she liked to do! That's what it was like from the beginning to the end, except it wasn't. At our very first meeting Siân took me aside and let me know that she had been kind of roped in to this Pilates thing and was going along with it, and I had two weeks to convince her or she'd be gone. I looked at her, I nodded, and said "Okay, thank you for your honesty, I'll see what I can do in that short space of time" and we both cracked up laughing. That's how it was and that's how it continued to be. Pilates on Monday mornings honest, open, lots of love, laughter, support and advice (and complaining about not wanting to be a mermaid, a frog, a ballet dancer, a table, a cat or a cow!!!). Siân attended Pilates to the very end. The will, courage and determination she showed still makes me smile, and is a source of pride as we remember her. Her authenticity, sense of fun, integrity and energy flowed so easily and freely and was even more noticeable during a Pilates Retreat to the South of France. I hope you think the pictures I have uploaded do too. I was very emotional about how Pilates would be without Siân's physical presence in the middle of the room, directly in front of me, but Covid and Zoom have taken care of that, though I MISS her. We talk about Siân and honour her friendship and memory often, which we will continue to do. With love, appreciation and gratitude. Thanks for the memories Siân, my sweet girl. Always, Denise (Pilates) xxx
