Mum and Dad's last big holiday adventure was to Iran in April 2019. It was a much anticipated and fabulous exploration of a fascinating and beautiful country. After her death I came across this quote from Hafiz of Shiraz, the famous Iranian poet who Mum adored, and think of it often whenever I miss her. “I wish I could show you when you are lonely or in darkness the astonishing light of your own being.”
